The Heroes

A Hero is a being who has magical powers, (usually elemental) and is bonded in some way to a partnering beast. Heroes are not born, they're made, it takes a powerful event (be it positive or negative) to trigger ones inner purpose, which is used to describe ones potentiality for greatness. Inner purpose can be passed on by blood, but only if the parents are both heroes. Many years ago their used to be a heroes guild, that took in any that had inner purpose, but now only a few remain that still live by the old strict ways of the heroes, and fewer still that lead them.

Being a hero today simply means that one has control over an element, and is accompanied by a beast.
